Imagined and designed by the creator of the brand’s greatest models, LUNNA has been subjected to the same attention and optimization as its predecessors and uses the proven and durable techniques of the most ambitious models in the range.

The results obtained from the development of this compact column are particularly impressive. The homogeneity of the music itself, the extent and the linearity of its bandwidth and its impulse response allow it to reach a coherence of performance in line with the most capable products of the range.

LUNNA’s compact dimensions allow an easy implementation in rooms with average or modest dimensions (from 12 m²). It is a speaker that is also ideal for constrained urban environments.

Above all else, LUNNA offers a full-bodied, rich and dynamic presentation that allows one to build a system that is both intensely musical and affordable - a true step into the world of JM Reynaud.

LOADING PRINCIPLE:

Tuned triangular transmission line leading to a vent located on the front of the cabinet allowing near-wall placement. Absence of internal parallel walls reduces the formation of standing waves and allows the use of a minimum of damping material. The tweeter is installed in an isolated chamber avoiding any mechanical-acoustic intermodulation with the woofer.  Cabinetry is in 19 mm MDF assembled under press. Rounded vertical edges on the front avoiding edge effects, wide fillet on the top rear horizontal edge in line with the style of the current range. Adhesive felt surrounding the drive units to minimize early signal reflections on the cabinet and thus ensure better directivity control.

DRIVERS:
WOOFER/MID:
All new 13cm driver manufactured under JM Reynaud specifications, derived from the one used for the EUTERPE and the BLISS Jubilé. It uses a long fiber paper cone. The back of this optimized profile cone receives an absorbent treatment that improves its internal damping while retaining the universally recognized tonal qualities of the paper. It has a 30 mm coil on a ventilated aluminum support giving it good power handling and a powerful and fast bass. Its core uses a copper ring to linearize its impedance and significantly reduce its harmonic distortion rate. Its rubber suspension receives an absorbent treatment on a portion of its profile in connection with the cone to improve its behavior at full excursion. It has an aluminum inner structure whose profile perfectly clears the back of the cone.
TWEETER:
Textile dome tweeter using a 25mm coil and a neodymium magnet in a small chamber tuned for a low resonance frequency of 650 Hz. It has a very wide and particularly linear response curve and a natural dispersion of frequencies across it’s range. It features an injected ABS front panel with a pavilion type profile for better performance and optimal directivity. This tweeter offers an excellent dynamic range and detail retrieval without any hint of dryness or harshness, qualities that are essential to meet the musical specifications of a JM Reynaud loudspeaker.
