Refund policy

30-Day Returns

We have a 30-day return policy, which means that once the item is delivered to your shipping address, you have 30 days to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be like-new, in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and in its original packaging and condition with all included packing materials, accessories and manuals. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Note exceptions detailed below. 

To start a return, you can contact us at: sales (at) westernhifi (dot) com and we will issue a return authorization. 

NOTE: Returns will incur a 10% restocking fee on all items approved for return, unless we have notified you otherwise. All return shipping fees are the customer's responsibility. All orders that are canceled prior to shipping that have used PayPal, Shop, or Affirm for payments will incur a 5% restock fee to offset processing fees that we incur and are non-refundable.

For return shipping, we can provide a UPS return label, and our discounted shipping fees will be deducted from the return refund amount once the item is received and approved. The other option is for the customer to pay for the return shipping themselves. If the customer chooses to pay for shipping themselves, it is highly recommended to also add full insurance, as damage to the item(s) during shipping will be the customer's responsibiilty. 

After your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted nor refunded. Products returned that are missing any original packaging materials, missing parts or accessories, or returned in a used/condition will be charged an additional restocking fee based on the missing materials, parts, or damage, or may be rejected for return altogether.

Delivery damages and issues
We make every effort to package the product to prevent shipping damage. Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately (same or next business day) if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please take pictures of any damaged packaging if the product damage is due to shipper handling. 

If your package is undeliverable due to incorrect information that you entered when you placed an order, or for any other reason that is not Western HiFi's fault, the purchaser is responsible for payment of the full shipping amount including any return or round-trip shipping.

In the event that you refuse delivery of your package, you will be subject to restock fees as well as deduction for the full shipping price of the product both ways, including our cost for shipping when a product was ordered under our free shipping term. Charges may be automatically charged to your supplied payment method, or deducted from return credit to your payment method. 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders, repair parts, or personalized items), and vacuum tubes (purchased separately from an amplifier). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on vacuum tubes, repair parts, pre-owned or demo sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
If you wish to exchange an item for one that is of equal or greater cost, the fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and fully inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not, the return amount and restock fees. If approved, you’ll be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days, minus any and all shipping charges incurred and restock fees. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
