The Dynavector ASKA is the entry point into Dynavector's celebrated MC lineage — purpose-built to make the first step into moving coil as inviting as possible. Carrying the same design philosophy, craftsmanship, and characteristic Dynavector sound as the higher-end models, the ASKA delivers open, natural, low-distortion analog playback at an accessible price point.

Every ASKA is hand-assembled and individually inspected in Japan, held to the same uncompromising standard as the rest of the Dynavector lineup.

Special Annealing Magnetic Circuit

At the heart of every Dynavector MC lies a carefully annealed pure iron magnetic circuit. By precisely controlling temperature, atmosphere, and heating/cooling rates during production, Dynavector refines the magnetic properties of the circuit for expansive, resonant sound with exceptional resolution and minimal distortion.

Neodymium Magnet with Softened Magnetic Field

Dynavector's patented Softened Magnet technology tames the harshness associated with rare earth magnets while retaining the power of neodymium. The result is a clean, well-separated sound — high output without the edge.

Elliptical Stylus

The elliptical stylus accurately tracks fine high-frequency groove modulations, reproducing detail a spherical stylus can miss. Stable across a wide range of cartridge alignments, it's a practical and capable choice for those new to MC playback.

ASKA-H — High Output MC
Dynavector's unique coil winding technology delivers a healthy 2.8 mV output, eliminating the need for a step-up transformer or head amplifier. Compatible with standard MM phono inputs (47 kΩ). Recommended load impedance: 1,000 Ω or higher.

ASKA-L — Low Output MC
At 0.3 mV output, the ASKA-L offers excellent compatibility with a wide range of step-up transformers and head amplifiers, letting you fully experience the distinct qualities of MC playback. Recommended load impedance: 30 Ω or higher.
